Opening with a call for leaders to take a brave approach to solving today’s workforce and education challenges, the 2024 Horizons summit, presented by Jobs for the Future, emphasized bipartisan collaboration and collective action at a time of national divisions. In main stage discussions, high-energy workshops, small-scale conversations, and podcasts recorded before live audiences, speakers and attendees embraced the summit’s theme—“The Power of Us”—as they explored new approaches to promoting equitable opportunities for economic advancement.

Keynote speakers—including author Ta-Nehisi Coates, astronaut José Hernández, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, and economics researcher Raj Chetty—shared inspiring insights. And JFF leaders announced several major initiatives, including the creation of the ASA Center for Career Navigation at JFF and the launch of the 75 Million Network, a coalition of visionary changemakers committed to expanding access to quality jobs and reaching the ambitious goal JFF has embraced as it North Star: By 2033, 75 million people facing systemic barriers to advancement will work in quality jobs.
