American Association of Community Colleges 2022 Annual Conference: Reaching New Traditional Learners Through Guided Career Pathways

Community colleges are making dramatic shifts in response to new demands – from the economy, community, and learners. In the upcoming American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) 2022 Annual Conference, Jobs for the Future and Lorain County Community College will be co-presenting at this event on May 2.Jobs for the Future (JFF) and Lorain County Community College will be speaking at the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) 2022 annual conference: one of the largest professional development events for leaders from all levels of the community college.
More than 2,000 faculty, mid-managers, vice presidents, provosts, federal agency and foundation representatives, business and industry leaders, and vendors converge at the AACC annual convention to examine trends and provide solutions to the most prominent issues facing the sector. In partnership with AACC, Jobs for the Future (JFF) will be presenting on May 2 during the session, Reaching New Traditional Learners Through Guided Career Pathways. Participants will learn about the institutional changes needed to recruit, retain, and succeed with today’s learners through two evidence-based models: The Back on Track model, which builds pathways to employment for youth across the country; and Lorain County Community College’s Fast-Track program, a faster route to credentials, jobs, and advancement for unemployed and underemployed adults.
