JFF Insights to Help You Navigate the Green Economic Transition

At a Glance

Jobs for the Future tools and insights help employers, policymakers, and regional workforce leaders navigate the complexities and opportunities of the green economic transition.

Combating climate change and its ripple effects across society is an imperative of our time. As extreme weather events, resource shortages, and related challenges worsen, the economy is shifting—but not quickly enough. This moment presents a transformative opportunity to ensure workers and employers are prepared for the change, and we must seize it.

Through the Climate-Resilient Employees for a Sustainable Tomorrow (CREST) initiative, Jobs for the Future is leading efforts to help accelerate the transition to a green economy—in ways that not only prioritize environmental sustainability but also economic advancement for the millions of workers at risk of being excluded from these opportunities.

We believe a regional approach—rooted in the needs of residents, businesses, and communities—has the best chance to significantly expand the availability of quality green jobs for people of all backgrounds.

As our research continues, we are developing data-backed, user-friendly resources to help employers, policymakers, and regional workforce leaders navigate the changing environmental and economic landscape.
