Since its inception in 2003, NoVaHealthFORCE, a coalition of health care employers, educators, and community leaders, has sought to identify and address health care workforce challenges in Northern Virginia. The coalition of business, academic, and community leaders has commissioned empirical studies of current and future workforce demand in nursing, allied health, and other health care professions. It has applied these research findings to design and implement a multistep action plan to strengthen the pipeline of qualified health care workers.
