JFF President and CEO Maria Flynn was quoted in a press release announcing a partnership between the SkillUp Coalition and Goodwill Southern California to provide job training services and other resources to workers in Southern California who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

A national nonprofit whose members include JFF, SkillUp will use sophisticated labor market analytics and personalized coaching to create new pathways to opportunity for workers throughout the region.

“SkillUp is a comprehensive, one-stop platform dedicated to preparing COVID-impacted workers for good jobs today and tomorrow,” Flynn was quoted as saying in the press release. “As effective as the platform is, what really sets it apart from other tools is the coalition’s strong community partnerships with on-the-ground organizations, like Goodwill Southern California. These organizations know the local labor markets and regional economies firsthand, providing unique end-to-end expertise and support for jobseekers.”
