JFF’s Jennifer Freeman in “Bringing Students Back, Moving Them Forward”

JFF Senior Director Jennifer Freeman was quoted in a recent Inside Higher Ed article about the urgent need to re-enroll students who left higher education in droves during the pandemic.

She said career advising is crucial to such efforts, and added that offering credentials for short-term workforce training programs will encourage students to return. Most important, she said campaigns to re-engage students must “really convey to people that what they’re going to get when they come back to college is a road to economic success and have a very, very clear line to a labor market outcome for them.”
