HR Dive mentioned the new JFF report How Young Adults Can Advance in a Turbulent Economy in a recent article that focused on how employers can improve staff retention rates if they offer young workers opportunities to pursue training and develop new skills.
The article also notes that initiatives that help young people learn new skills can benefit society as a whole, particularly now, when many workers have been displaced amid COVID-driven economic disruptions. “While millions of young adults were able to find work in 2021, very few obtained jobs that cover their basic needs and offer opportunities for advancement,” JFF Associate Vice President Lili Allen says in the article. “This growing crisis for young people could have serious and lasting implications for our economy and society.”
